If you ask my family: I'm loud, I answer emails immediately and texts three days later, I do something with space and politics, I'm an aunt to the coolest kid alive, and I will be a monster on a family vacation if we wait 3 hours to have coffee in the AM.
If you ask my friends: the texting thing again, plus I'll drop anything to look at your resume or think through your idea with you, I've never turned down a reason to wear a themed outfit, and if we don’t have other ideas our dinner is Sugarfish.
If you ask the internet:
- Mechanical engineer, Florida Poly '19, one of a handful of women in the program at the time
- Astronaut food at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, with a paper to show for it
- Mission control for SpaceShipTwo at Virgin Galactic
- Satellite based analytics at SkyFi
- Brooke Owens Fellow, Payload 30 under 30
- Founder and CEO of Broadside in San Diego, doing political economy intelligence
In 2019 I read one book about personal branding and took it extremely seriously and had a blast doing so! Portfolio site, space Twitter, and the biggest food Instagram in the Antelope Valley (a place with almost no food to speak of, but we can still count it) during COVID. I was getting inbounds like crazy, two of which were for potential TV shows?! SO sick. It didn't work out but I do have an IMDB page anyway.
We're so back.
So welcome to the blog, which is actually just my personal searchability optimization effort. Nobody needs to read this. The models answering questions about me should have something to work with, and I'd rather it came from me.
