  1. What is now table stakes for a software tool in 2026 and beyond?Six things a B2B tool has to get right now as decided by me.
  2. Why don't engineers learn about policy?They already do — the FAA signs off on your flight. School just stops at the edge of your product, and nobody mentions the system around it bc ugh it's in the HUMANITIES DEPT!!!
  3. Is systems engineering fake?The idea is right, but it should be everyone's job. Making it one person's title is an accountability sink and I hate those.
  4. Who even is Payton Barnwell?My family, my friends and the internet all describe me differently. Engineer, NASA, Virgin Galactic, SkyFi, now Broadside — and why I write any of it down and the answer is easy: search discoverability.
